Thoughts on starting a blog

Why would anyone be interested in anything that I write? It’s a worry for any writer and particularly for me when wondering about starting this blog. To me, a lot of blogs are just the outpourings of people who like the sound of their own voice — the kind of people I get stuck with at parties! I really don’t want this blog to be like that. So what should it be? I guess I’d like to encourage anyone reading it to start — and hopefully finish — their own novel. With that aim in mind, I’ll try to come up with anything that’s helped me to get my first one out. Anyone can do it — seriously. If I can, you can. You can do this!
