Couldn’t resist a vampire story

Actually, I couldn’t resists two things: writing a vampire story and setting it in my home city of Brighton & Hove (back in the day when it was two neighbouring towns).

I really loved writing this one and I hope that shows on the page.

Here’s the description of the book on Amazon:

It’s the summer of 1977 and the Queen’s Silver Jubilee is in full swing. In the dark of night, a small boat crunches onto the pebbles of Brighton beach and three migrants jump out: two brothers and a rather timid graduate in Social Anthropology. For the two brothers in particular, this is a new start. They are being persecuted in their homeland – mostly because they’re vampires.

Can they make a new life in the punk rock world of 1977 Brighton or will the same vampire-hunters who forced them to leave their own country track them down to the Sussex coast and finish the job? And will a somewhat less than lion-hearted graduate in Social Anthropology be any help at all? Prepare to be surprised and entertained. It’s going to be a rough ride.
